Airport Internship Program

Clinton National Airport is seeking college students who are interested in pursuing a career in airport administration. This internship is established to provide real-world experience of how an airport operates on a daily basis. 

Interns are paid $12/hour and flexible work scheduling is provided to accommodate class schedules for students. A monthly $100 stipend allowance is also provided to help cover gas and or transportation costs.

You will spend most of your internship in the department that focuses on your major or interest. You will also spend time with other Airport staff and may also rotate between the departments to gain an understanding of how they operate.

We are seeking interns for the following Departments:


  • Assisting with research, data entry, and preparing financial reports
  • Working in Microsoft Excel, invoices, and balance sheets

Human Resources

  • Performs job tasks that cover recruiting, staffing, employee relations, benefits administration and HRIS maintenance
  • Assists with the interview and on-boarding process used to recruit new employees


  • Assist with research, data capturing, and purchase orders
  • Works with shipping/receiving and inventory management

Public Affairs

  • Primary focus: social media strategy, management and content creation
  • Some general communications and public relations assignments

Properties & planning

  • Collects & maintains Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and enters information into system
  • Develop, compile, maintain, retrieve, query, and analyze a variety data for the department
